Thermal insulation, thermal building physics
- Calculation of economically optimized thermal insulation in accordance with the Building Energy Act (GEG) and other relevant regulations.
- Advice and assessment of the physical design of external building components, including thermal insulation in summer and calculation of thermal bridges.
- Determination of water vapor diffusion in critical areas, structural dimensioning of components to prevent condensation.
- Carrying out thermal simulations both room-by-room and for entire buildings, as well as detailed calculations on isothermal progression and humidity of building components using state-of-the-art software.
- We prepare the thermal insulation certificate as part of the documents required for the building permit.
- Energy requirement certificates for existing buildings are drawn up after a local survey.
- We work and advise as certified passive house planners according to the guidelines of the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt.
- We measure the airtightness of buildings (blower door), take humidity and temperature measurements over longer periods of time and use thermography to identify energy weaknesses and optimize energy efficiency.
- Sound overall advice on building physics leads to energy savings and ensures the utility value of the building. Structural damage, such as the formation of condensation on or in external building components and the associated risk of mold growth, can thus be avoided.
